What is Project VIC and does OSForensics support Project VIC Hashes?

Project VIC International is a non-profit organization who works with a global network of law enforcement agencies and technology partners, through the administration of a hash set database of files depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). When used within the OSForensics environment, the Project VIC hash set provides law enforcement agents with a mechanism to safely and easily locate and identify CSAM files during an investigation. By eliminating much of the need to manually review each CSAM files, the Project VIC hash set helps minimize law enforcements’ repeated exposure to these traumatizing files.

As a valued technology partner, OSForensics is proud to support Project VIC in their fight against the online sexual abuse and exploitation of children around the world. For more information on Project VIC International, please visit their website at https://www.projectvic.org/

Please Note: PassMark Software does NOT maintain, control or distribute the Project VIC hash set. Access to the set is restricted to authorized law enforcement agencies only and must be acquired directly through Project VIC International.
