How to check an MD5 hash checksum of a file (or SHA1)

To check the MD5 (or CRC32, SHA1 or SHA256) hash checksum of a file first go to the "Verify/Create Hash" section in OSForensics. Pick the file you wish to hash, select the hash functions and click the calculate button. Once the hash has been created open the file containing the expected hash and copy/paste it into the comparison hash field to check that it matches the hash generated from the file.
